Agnes Magessa
As a child, Agnes lost both of her parents and currently lives with her grandmother. She is 14 years old, finished School in Standard 7 and will be one of the FORM computer course students. Her career goal is to be a traffic police guard.

Coleta Jocktan "Sponsored"
Coleta, age 16, lives with her widowed mother and her younger siblings. She attends Buhare Secondary School where she is in Form 4. She does extremely well in school and her favorite subject is English. On Saturdays during the FORM program, she sings in the choir, loves to play soccer and enjoys the crafts.

Saada Changwe
Saada, age 11, lost both of her parents to AIDS and lives with her widowed grandmother and her older sister. She attends Rwamlimi Primary School and is in Standard 5. She aspires to be a teacher. On Saturdays, Saada prefers to sit out of the games, braid grass or talks to her friends and she loves the days when lunch is rice and beans.

Wakuru Changwe "sponsored"
Wakuru, age 16, lost both of her parents to AIDS and lives with her widowed grandmother and her younger sister. She attends Nyabisare secondary school and is in Form 2. She wants to become a nurse, and to help her reach that goal, she likes to study biology. Her favorite meal is rice and beans and on Saturdays she is a passionate soccer player, very helpful with crafts and serving food.

Kulwa George
Kulwa moved from Mwanza to liv with her aunt after losing both of her parents and twin sister to AIDS. Testing found her HIV negative. She is 17 and attends Makoko Seconday School and is in Form 3. Kulwa does well in her studies and loves Physics and Chemistry. Her career goal is to become a journalist. She loves to sing and play soccer with her friends.

Protas Anselin
Protas, age 6, lives with his mother and his two older siblings. His father died of AIDS but the rest of the family has tested HIV negative! Currently, Protas attends Mwisenge Primary School where he is in Standard 1. Protas loves to play soccer, jump rope, color and laugh. When he grows up, he wants to be a policeman.

Emanuel Anselin
Emanuel lives with his mother and two siblings. His father died of AIDS but the rest of the family has tested HIV negative! He currently attends Mwisenge Primary School where he is in Standard 5. Emanuel is a lively 12 year old who loves to eat rice, play soccer and dreams of becoming a policeman one day.

Mariam Anselin "sponsored"
Mariam, age 15, lives with her mother and two younger siblings. Her father died of AIDS, but the rest of the family has tested HIV negative! She currently attends A Computer Training offered by FORM. Mariam has a chronic eye problem and has difficulty with her vision, but that does not stop her from playing soccer with her friends, helping her younger brothers, or doing well in school. She has a sweet personality and is often found listening to her friends.

Saile, age 18, lives with his single mother and four younger siblings. His mother is HIV positive, as well as three of his sisters but he has not been tested. He attends Secondary School in Form 1. Due to the absence of a father in the home, Saile has become a surrogate father to his siblings and does so with gentleness and love. At the FORM Saturday program, he loves playing card games and soccer.

Scholastica Makubili
Scholastica is the oldest of six children and cares for the children and the home, while still attending school. Her mother has a psychological disorder that prevents her from holding a job or helping with the home. She attends Bweri Primary School where she is in Standard 6. She likes to study science and wants one day to be a teacher. Sue to her mother's condition, Scholastica does not have time to be a child but at the FROM Saturday Program, she enjoys playing games and laughing with the other children. She is an excellent singer, and is often featured as a soloist in the FORM choir.

Sophia lives with her mother and five siblings. Her mother has a psychological disorder that prevents her from holding a job or helping with the home. She attends Bweri Primary School where she is in Standard 5. She aspires to be a nurse one day. Despite the fact that she has to do a great deal of work around the house to help her sister, Sophia always has a smile on her face. On Saturdays, she loves to get lots of hugs and can often be found by the side of one of the leaders. She is a gifted singer and loves to color.

Joseph Nyashoni
Joseph, age 6, lives with his mother who is HIV positive and his older sister, Mary. He currently attends Amani Nursery School, where he loves to sing, play outside and color. He is bright and loves to be near his teachers. When he is not in school, you can find Joseph occupying himself by drawing in the dirt, playing with a tire or building with rocks.

Matari (sponsored) Mwita, age 18, lives with his uncle and cares for his grandmother besides his
school work. He attends Nyamitwebiri Secondary School where he
is in Form 1 after he passed Standard 7 exams. He likes to play soccer and is
pretty good in it. Mwita wishes to work for the Police
later on. |

Sarafina, age 6, lives with her single mother who is HIV positive and her four siblings. Sarafina has tested HIV positive. She currently attends Buhare Primary School. She has a smile that melts your heart and a laugh that is contagious.

Sophia, age 10, lives with her single mother who is HIV positive and her four siblings. Sophia has tested HIV positive. Due to her illness, she is often unable to attend school and the Saturday FORM program. She currently attends Buhare Primary School where she is in Standard 6. She does well in Mathematics and English. When she plays, she enjoys jumping rope and drawing with chalk.

Abel Saile
Abel, age 8, lives with his single mother and four younger siblings. His mother is HIV positive, as well as three of his sisters, but he has not been tested. He attends Buhare Primary School where he is Standard 2. His favorite subject is math and when he grows up he wants to be a police officer. On Saturdays, if there is a ball to be found, you will find Abel practicing his soccer skills. He likes to drink coke and eat bananas.

Regina's, age 8, her parents both died due to complications from AIDS. She currently lives with her grandmother. She attends Mwisenge Primary School where she is in standard 2.

Julieth's parents both died a few years ago and she currently lives with a foster family. She is studying at Bweri Primary School and is in standard 7. Her career goal is to become a teacher and she enjoys studying Kiswahili and science.

Buyanda Elias "sponsored"
Buyanda, age 13, lost both of his parents due to complications from AIDS. His mother and father became Chrsitians shortly before they died which angered their Muslim relatives. The relatives have refused to help or have anything to do with Buyanda or his siblings. He and his older brother aged 19 years live in the house that their parents left as their inheritance. Currently, Buyanda is studying at at St. Anthony Vocational Trainging since March 2009. Buyanda loves to be outdoors, playing soccer, climbing rocks and helping in the garden. He likes to eat rice and beans and drink Fanta Orange.

Paulo, age 10, lives with his uncle. He attends Kiara Primary School where he is in Standard 4. At the FORM Saturday program, he loves to tease the leaders, jump and play with the other boys. He is excellent at memorizing verses and is always attentive to the lesson.

Winifrida, age 16, lost her father to alcoholism and was thrown out by her step-mother. She currently lives with a foster family. She attends Mwisenge Secondary School where she is in Form 3. Her favorite subjets are Kiswahili and civics. She wants to be a teacher. Winified loves to play soccer, read and cook. Her favorite thing to cook and eat is French Friends and she likes to drink Pepsi.

Joseph was the first child to be accepted by FORM. He lives with his father who has AIDS. Currently, he is studying at Makoko Primary School where he is in Standard 6. He aspires to be a doctor. Joseph loves all spokes and can be often found after school in the local playground playing soccer. To fill up after a big game, Joseph's favorite foods are ugali and fish, and his favorite drink is fanta orange.

Lilian, age 13, lives with her disabled mother and her older sister. She is currently attending Kamyonge Primary School where she is in Standard 6. Her favorite food is french fries, or "chips" as they are called here. She aspires to be a tailor. Lillian is full of live and attitude, and can often be found posing for pictures when there is a camera around, or strutting her stuff like the models she sees on Tv.

Samuel, age 16, lives with his parents who are both HIV positive. Due to the illness, they are often unable to work and provide for their son. Samuel currently attends Nyasho Secondary School where he is in Form 2. He loves to sing, dance, tell jokes and play soccer. In school, he struggles, but he works hard and gives everything his best effort.

Makunja, age 12, lives with his widowed mother. He attends Bweri Primary School where he is in Standard 7. Now he is preparing to take his national exams to determine whether he can continue on to Form 1. He loves to play games, have his picture taken and to play with his friends.

In school he excels in math and english. When he is not in school, he enjoys playing soccer and on Saturdays he loves to have his picture taken so he can practice his modeling poses.

Dorcas, better known to her friends as Dory, lives with a foster family. Her father left her with her step mother, who tried to sell her off to a much older man so that she could receice the bride price (a few cows). Dory is a part of the FORM sewing vocation classes and excels in the FORM English classes. She likes to eat and cook bananas and potatoes. Her career goal is to work with computers.

Jacqueline, or Jackie, lives with her mother and her two siblings. She, age 6, attends Nyasho Primary School and is in Standard 1. She likes to eat rice, to sweep, to sing and to sleep.

Cathrine, or Cassie, lives with her mother and her two siblings. She, age 5, is in Nursery 1 at Amani Nursery School. She likes to sing and does well in her classes at school. When she's at recess or out of school, she likes to jump, run and play.

Rama, age 10, lives with his mother and his two sisters. He attends Nyasho Primary School and is in Standard 4. Rama wants to grow up to be a Police Officer. To keep his body strong, he likes to play soccer and eat rice.

because of Aids and his mother is very sick and moved to a village to get help.
All 6 brothers share one bed and one room. Coronel has a chronical blood
disease which hinders him to do hard work. He is very talented in drawing and
singing. Later he would like to become a driver. |

Joseph Pascal, age 15, lives in Kigera and attends Kiara Secondary Schoolin FORM 1 after he passed Standard 7 Exams successfully though he had to suffer
the sudden death of his mother. His father left the family a long time ago.
Pascal is a sensible person and has a strong faith. He likes to sing and later he
wants to be a medical doctor. |

Abubakari is 20 years old and attends vocational training.
He is in his second year of the mechanical course. Therefore he wants to become
a mechanist later. He is Moslem but he likes to come to the Saturday program
and even listens to the word craft carefully. His favorite meal is chips with a
coke. |

Kulwa is 6 years old and lives with her grandmother and her
older brother. Both of her parents and a younger sister died due to
complications from AIDS. Kulwa attends Amani Nursery School 2nd class. Later she wants to become a nurse. She is a quiet
person but another time you can just see her laughing all the time. Her
favorite food is rice and beans. |

Mauma is 19 years Old. He stay with her mother. His mother got divorce few years a go that Made Mauma to live in a hard situation. He just finished form four this year and is waiting for his result. His great dream is to become a Teacher or Police
